Former Chelsea player Didier Drogba praised Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for his outstanding efforts this season for Napoli, who are now in first place in Serie A.

Osimhen continues to delight Napoli fans with his incredible goal-scoring streak, including a hat-trick in his team’s most recent match against Sassuolo.

Drogba was watching when he noticed Osimhen giving a penalty to his teammate rather than taking it himself.

Drogba was impressed with what Osimhen did and praised the Nigerian as a complete and unselfish striker in a video shared on Twitter.

“That’s a complete striker, unselfishness, the true meaning of winning as A TEAM,” Drogba said of Osimhen.

Since his return, Osimhen has scored six goals in his last four appearances across all competitions.

The Nigerian now joins George Weah of Liberia (for AC Milan in 1998), Patrick Mboma of Cameroon (for Cagliari in 1999), Mohamed Salah of Egypt (for AS Roma in 2016), and Keita Balde of Senegal as the fifth African to score a hat-trick in Italian Serie A. (Lazio in 2017).
